Our Allée ADA Sconce brings the beauty of bent plywood to lighting with an ADA-compliant design that gently washes the wall with light. Available in birch and walnut. A favorite of architects, plywood is valued for its warmth, simplicity, and sustainability. Once considered an industrial material used in boats and aircraft, designers in the 1920s began bending plywood into sculptural forms. Finnish architect Alvar Aalto led this movement, pioneering bent-wood plywood furniture with soft lines and a fresh modernism aesthetic, an approach that has influenced designers for nearly a century including Ray and Charles Eames in the 1940s and 1950s. Namesake: An allée is a landscape design feature in which a walkway is lined with trees on both sides, forming a refined green tunnel or corridor. Originating in French garden design, allées celebrate symmetry and repetition, typically using a single tree species for uniformity.

We pair these authentic shades with solid brass and wood components to create a refined, enduring design.  Namesake: In Japanese, Umi means the sea or ocean. The elongated form of our Umi washi lantern draws from traditional lantern silhouettes while subtly referencing the nautical, echoing the oblong profile of pneumatic boat fenders that protect vessels at the dock, an innovation pioneered in 1958 by Yokohama Rubber Co. and now used worldwide. She was the daughter of an Indian father and an American mother. Under the codename Madeleine, she was sent from the UK into occupied France to aid the French Resistance. The messages she sent back to London as a wireless operator behind enemy lines significantly aided the Allies success.

Namesake: Josephine Baker was an American dancer, singer, actress, counter-intelligence figure, resistance fighter, civil rights activist, mother of 13 adopted children, and pilot. Baker died in 1975 and received military honors and tributes from the entire artistic community in France.

Namesake: Henrietta "Hetty" Green was a trailblazing investor and financier who defied the conventions of her era to become wealthiest woman of the Gilded Age. Fiercely independent, Hetty worked alone from her modest desk in a Manhattan bank, value investing and making low-rate loans with her personal reserves of cash, helping bail out Wall Street, New York City, and the United States economy in times of need. While she was modest and unwilling to participate in New York City high society, those who knew her admired her warmth, wisdom, and wit.

Variations and imperfections in the concrete base are inherent in its artisan production.  Namesake: Muriel Wylie "Capi" Blanchet (1891-1961) was a Canadian author best known for her seminal Northwest boating memoir The Curve of Time. In 1926, when Blanchet was widowed at the age of thirty-five, she packed her five young children into a twenty-five-foot boat and they cruised the ragged, wild, perforated coastline of British Columbia for fifteen consecutive summers.

U-light, in its wall and ceiling version, leaves the iconic U, in favor of an essential circular form. A ring, in which structure is inserted a LED, providing a white warm light. Thanks to its minimal design, U-light fits different styles, personalizing the spaces with a great scenic impact. Moreover, thanks to the installation of an acoustic panel, U-light has an Equivalent Sound Absorbing Area up to 2.49, that allows to reduce the noise as far as 44%.

At Terzani, we saw the beauty in the abacus’ mathematical purity and clean, functional design. In the hands of Terzani’s craftsmen, we’ve turned this inspiration into a new collection of modular pendant lamps whose flexibility allows for complex and beautiful configurations. Each module, or strand, of Abacus, made of a custom set of round, hand-blown opal glass which emit a soft and uniform light. And, as the original abacus was used to calculate everything from simple addition to complex formulas, we’ve retained the same scalability. Due to its customization, our Abacus light is just as suitable in a home as a commercial space, and its almost infinite configurations makes sure you always come up with the right solution. Manta was created featuring sinuous, undulating lines. The results are soft waves of crystal light reminiscent of being underwater. Quentin is designed freestyle. Super-taut lines, curves and cuts control irrepressible fluid forms, alternating opposing introf lexed areas with other rotundly expanding spaces. Inspired by the idea of the sofa as the key piece for everyday comfort, Quentin features deep, comfortable seating offering a dynamic, contemporary way to share the space.

The idea for the Antelope sofa was inspired by Antelope Canyon, which was formed by the wind and rain eroding the sandstone thousands of years ago. Just like Antelope Canyon, the sofa seems to have been carved from one solid piece, as if it had been crafted by the wind through the centuries. This “erosion” can be seen all over the sofa, creating breath-taking dynamism on the exterior, and across the seating where it forms a variety of seating depths enabling the sofa to be enjoyed in many different ways.

The distinctive Maissi is inspired by the handrails from old stairs and industrial machinery. Designed by the Finnish-based Studio Kaksikko. Maissi is an artistic two-person bench with a unique look in FSC-certified oak. The narrow style and clean cuts make it a welcoming piece in any modern space, from the hallway to the bedroom or living room.

Coffee Table L belongs to the Abecedario Collection and it was presented in occasion  of the Milano Design Week 2023. A new grapheme that marks the evolution of this line and allows us to continue with the drafting of a real alphabet in concrete. Each coffee table is made through the extrusion of a two-dimensional shape inside which the cement is poured. FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridiscently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering greater concentration of the light. The lamp is available in three different sizes: Fl/Y (diameter 52cm, shade depth 33cm), Small Fl/Y (diameter 38cm, shade depth 28cm) and Big Fl/Y (diameter 83cm, shade depth 55cm).
